Growing up among the breathtaking landscapes of the Highlands, Jason developed a connection to Scottish culture from an early age. His bagpiping journey began formally in 2002. At just 17 years old, he enlisted in the British Army, setting in motion a career of soldiering and world-class musicianship.
Jason’s career has taken him across the globe. From challenging deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan to prestigious performances on some of the world’s most renowned stages. As a member of The Highlanders Pipes and Drums for over two decades, he represented his regiment and his country with distinction. Performing at major military and ceremonial events worldwide.
His achievements include appearances at the iconic Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and Buckingham Palace performing for members of the Royal Family.
Jason also spent three years as an instructor at The Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming in Edinburgh. Further refining his craft and passing on his expertise to the next generation of military pipers. His playing is shaped by this high level of training, professionalism, and passion, evident in every note he delivers.
After leaving the Army at the end of 2022, Jason launched his own professional bagpiping business. Now offering exceptional performances for weddings, funerals, corporate events, private celebrations, and bagpipe tuition.
